GEROtherm® - Extension hospital Frauenfeld KSF
The project, called HORIZONT, includes the replacement of the operating wing, medical diagnostics and the bed tower. In addition, extensive remodeling and adjustments will be made to the existing hospital building and the old bed tower will be demolished. The work began in July 2016 and is expected to last until the end of 2020. In addition to the existing departments, newly organized areas will also move into the new building. Among other things, a new entrance area with central reception, an interdisciplinary outpatient clinic, a state-of-the-art operating theater, interdisciplinary medical diagnostics and much more will be created.
A sustainable hospital for the future
All new buildings are being constructed by Steiner AG to the Minergie P standard. Minergie P designates and qualifies buildings that have an even lower energy consumption than Minergie and are therefore particularly sustainable as well as forward-looking in hospital construction.

Geothermal Probes
The geothermal probe field includes 89 pcs. GEROtherm® geothermal probes PN16, SRD11 made of PE100-RC de 40x3.7mm, double-U each with a length of 200m
Connection line:
Ca. 9000m GEROtherm® PE100-RC/S5/SDR 11/PN16 de 50mm Anbindungsleitungen inklusive Elektroschweiss-Formteile wie Muffen und Winkel wurden installiert.
Für den Übergang der Erdwärmesonden auf die Hosenstücke50/40/40wurden Elektroschweissmuffen de 50/40 mm verwendet. Die Erdwärmesonden wurden an zwei Schächte im Aussenbereich angeschlossen.
