At St. Jakob-Park, there had been shifts in the individual turf layers with integrated turf heating in recent years. Upgrades were necessary and the turf was completely replaced for the Women’s European Championships. The existing heating pipes were also removed when the turf layers were removed.
New all-plastic PE-Xc-O2 25 × 2.3 mm pipes from HakaGerodur AG were installed again 27 cm below the turf surface.
The entire planning and implementation of the conventional turf heating system was carried out by rasenplan GmbH as the full service provider.
