GEROtherm® DUPLEX - New construction of small apartments Zurich
In Zurich on Birmensdorferstrasse, 16 small apartments are being built.
The small apartments are heated and cooled by a brine-water heat pump. Three GEROtherm® DUPLEX geothermal probes of 220 meters were drilled.
Bohrteam Ketta GmbH, a company specializing in geothermal probe drilling, was on site and carried out the drilling work expertly. In each case, the drilling rig had to be lifted with the load crane to the location of the future borehole. Thanks to the good preparation, the 220 m deep boreholes could be drilled quickly. Following the sinking, the boreholes were backfilled with a special hydraulic binder containing natural raw materials such as clay and bentonite.
The probes are connected in the building by means of a collector/distributor.
