The contract for the project named “Balance” was awarded to the Zurich-based architecture firm GNWA, which won the planning competition; the design meets the criteria in terms of site integration, diversity of use and energy efficiency. As the cantonal benchmark in the energy sector and a company committed to a sustainable future, Viteos wanted to set an example for energy efficiency and reducing the CO2 footprint. The planned building is intended to obtain both the Minergie-A certification and the Minergie-P certification. It was also decided to activate the entire area of the floor slab using a piping system, similar to the principle of underfloor heating.
