The FGZ (Familienheim-Genossenschaft Zürich) was founded in 1924 and is constantly modernizing. The largest housing cooperative in Switzerland has 2234 residential properties that are constantly being modernized and renovated. The most recent project is the center development in the middle of the Friesenberg suburb, directly adjacent to Schweighofstrasse. In this neighborhood center, 110 apartments, a kindergarten with after-school care, a center square, a restaurant with cultural facilities, a Coop and a health center are being built.
