GEROtherm® - New logistics hall International Commitee of the Red Cross (CICR)
A new logistics hall is being built in the Geneva suburb of Satigny. Due to the existing geology, the base plate of the logistics hall will be supported by a total of 149 bored piles, which will be sunk into the ground at depths of 19 -24m.
The planning group Group8 Architectes associés, Geneva, was commissioned to design the project, which is worth a total of around CHF 31 million. To conserve resources, a total of 144 bored piles were used as energy piles for heating and cooling the building. cooling of the building.
In HakaGerodur's production plant in Benken, St. Gallen, 465 pile probes made of PE100 RC SDR11 2x32 single-U were produced in straight fixed lengths of 20m. Due to a length of 20m of the used HakaGerodur GEROtherm® geothermal pile probes used, a special transport directly from the production plant to the construction site in Satigny was necessary.
The pile reinforcements of the bored piles have three different diameters: 600mm, 800mm and 1000mm. Each pile reinforcement was equipped with 3 to 4 pieces of PE100 RC SDR11 single-U 2x32 pile probes by Augsburger Forages on site.
A construction period of several weeks was required for the complete installation of the 144 energy piles.
