Relocation stork nest Benken
In the course of the renovation and extension of the office and production building, our pair of storks has already moved to their new location. The existing nest was placed on the Aepli steel structure in consultation with the Uznach Stork Association.
The storks have already accepted their modern home and got used to the new view - we are still getting used to the new approach corridors.

Breeding of young storks on our industrial area

The Linth plain in the canton of St. Gallen is known for its large stork colony. A pair of storks also raises their young every year on a disused chimney of HakaGerodur AG, Benken. Visitors to the plant are sometimes familiar with the "approach habits" of the storks.
In 2015, the stork pair raised three young birds. This was done under regular observation by Mr. Maag of the company Maag-isch GmbH. The resulting video recordings were summarized in an impressive short film of 4 minutes and can be viewed at the following link:
